A 20-minute drive from the Strip, the JW Marriott Resort offers its guests the best of nature and of Vegas. One of the most beautiful hotels in the city, the Marriott greets visitors with its huge three-story building with Spanish Missionary architecture (stucco, exposed wood, iron railings, arches, tile). Along with the property's lush landscaping, the hotel boasts a peaceful quality that is definitely missing from resorts in the heart of Sin City. But don't be fooled by the JW Marriott's quiet, sedate ambiance. The excitement is here and ready to overwhelm your senses. A hushed but comfy lobby greets guests with more of the Spanish Missionary detail, and several sitting areas are scattered about with comfortable furniture making a nice area for quiet respites. Relaxation can also be found in one of the hotel's many guest rooms. Featuring everything from a marble bathroom with a separate whirlpool and his-and-her sinks to cordless Internet connections, these rooms are built for comfort. First-floor rooms all come with very large semi-private terraces, and all of the rooms have nice, calming views of the beautifully landscaped grounds. With a location that overlooks two of the Valley's most popular golf courses, it's safe to say guests will hit the links at least once. Guests can also relax in the 40,000-square-foot Aquae Sulis Spa and take advantage of an exercise area that features aerobics, free weights and the latest in high-tech workout machines. The spa area provides rest for the body and mind with 36 treatment rooms, waterfall showers, a steam room, sauna, hot tubs, mud bath Jacuzzis and much more. Gaming: But if it's gambling, and not pampering, that interests you, check out the casino. The 50,000- square-foot gaming area is circular in shape and features more than a thousand slot, video, poker and keno machines. There are also 40 table games including blackjack, craps, baccarat, poker and roulette. The casino also boasts a sports book that is one of the most comfortable in town. Dining: There are also nine restaurants offering some of the best dining in the city: Ceres, an upscale place with beautiful views of the grounds, and one by local celebrity chef Gustav Mauler -- Spiedini, offering the best in Italian fare. There's also an Irish pub, J.C. Wooloughan, featuring traditional Irish cuisine and live music.

This resort was not made for the average person, you must be able to allow yourself to relax so that you can truly bask in its beauty. Standard rooms that are larger than any other hotel in this town for sure, and then you can upgrade into a jr suite or much larger if you desire. Compasionate staff and aroma of flowers to boot. The Marriott personel have really done great things for this resort. I believe that it is the hidden treasure of Vegas, come see it before it gets too busy.
