In a hotel-casino called Texas Station, the atmosphere doesn't get much more authentic than this. With the massive ceilings and rustic hardwood floors found in the Stockyard, it's easy to think you're dining in a lodge somewhere on the open prairie. Wouldn't a slab of smoky, barbecued ribs hit the spot right now? Good thing, as this place serves up some of the tastiest ribs in town, with a couple of ears of juicy corn and a bowl of sweet barbecued beans (the barbecued half-chicken is also well done). The selection of steaks is impressive, as is the seafood assortment, including lobster. The fried shrimp is served with a trio of sauces drizzled in ribbons on the plate so as to create a rainbow effect. Restrain yourself, before the entres are served, from making too many trips to the giant soup and salad bar which features a colorful assortment of greens, cold salads and piles of chewy rolls perfect for sopping up leftover dressing -- which can be a meal in itself.
