Victory's Booze & Bets   

Watch the game, bet on the game or get something to eat. We don't ask for much more from a pub inside a sports book, but Victory's Booze & Bets at the Cannery also provides a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like regulars from our first visit. The place is brighter, roomier and more colorful than most pubs, which tend to embrace the dark, earthy ambience of their English and Irish ancestors. Victory's has 90 seats with an island bar, brick walls, stained concrete floors, tin ceilings and comfortable seating. The extensive bar menu features all the expected finger foods, accompanied by a fine selection of beers. Eight 32-inch monitors and four 62-inch television sets play the day's sporting events, and there's always video poker at the bar if your team is losing. -- David Hofstede
