The Western Hotel & Casino offers 116 rooms for the budget traveler at very affordable rates. The 13,050 square foot casino offers 567 slot and video machines, eight blackjack tables, roulette wheels and bingo. A pool is available for hotel guests at the Ambassador East, which is a sister property across the street. This hotel is located in the older downtown area, but is near the Fremont Street Experience. -- Peggy Strickler

The western has improved greatly. I have visited the western every year, and there is no better value in vegas.The security has been improved,and there are no more bums hangin out there. I have won quite a few times. I will return as this is a good hotel casino. Dont be afraid. Its much better.

Death will stalk you at the Western, from the drug dealers to the crack ****** that are everywhere outside the hotel and once they get a few bucks the go inside and play blackjack for a buck. If you like this this place is for you. Be very afraid for you life here if you are not use to this lifestile!!
