The 1,035-seat Jubilee Theater is host to shows by music and comedy greats as well as one of the city's longest running production shows. The eponymous Jubilee show premiered in July of 1981 with an original price tag of $10 million. With nearly 100 dancers and singers in the cast, the show is a seven-act production featuring original songs, dances and such stage extravaganzas as "The Sinking of the Titanic" (expect to see an exact replica( and "The Destruction of the Temple of Samson" (no shortage of Philistines in this town). The show now features a $3 million opening number with new sets, music, costumes and choreography. A visit to Bally's website reveals that some of the show's headdresses weigh 35 lbs., that there are 325 wigs to be maintained and that the company wears out 1,500 pairs of tights a year. Now if that doesn't make you want to see it. . .There are two shows every day of the week except Friday (when Jubilee is dark) at 7:30pm and 10:30pm. Bally's Box Office is open 9am to 10pm daily.
