Since 1976, the Hennesseys Tavern chain has attracted a young and sophisticated clientele, the same demographic that Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman hopes to lure away from the Strip and into Glitter Gulch. Hence, the opening of Hennesseys first Nevada watering hole in the heart of Fremont Street East. Mixing the classic English and Irish pub ambience with a cool class cultivated in the chains southern California locations, the Hennesseys formula has survived the transition to a more glitzy neighborhood, and even offers something the San Diego taverns cant video poker at the bar.
