This longtime north-side casino is still a contender amidst the recent building boom on The Strip. The casino's secret: solid value. The casino's steakhouse remains renowned for serving up excellent steak and prime rib, and the lounge is viable, offering hip acts like Venus, an all-female '80s cover band. It's not the prettiest casino on the planet -- Jerry's Nugget is old, and it shows -- but the casino's inner beauty easily shines through. -- Andrew Kiraly
