I can't afford to stay there. From the above reviews, they are old. Has it changed?

Love the Rio
By D1AMONDS on 08/08/2008
The rooms are great with fantastic views of the city and/or mountains. Their staff is very polite and friendly. My friends and I fly to Vegas from Philadelphia and North Carolina several times a year and we look forward to our next stay at the Rio Suites.

Best Poker room? r u kidding
By viper06coupe on 06/03/2006
Does it even have a poker room? I played many tournaments there including the main WSOP event, dont rememeber seeing the poker room, unless it was the little crappy area next to the sports book. If u want the best, its Bellagio for poker, period. the best rooms on the strip are bar none at the WYNN, second is the Hotel at Madalay bay, the rooms are nicer than the WYNNS but theyre getting old and raggedty a bit, so the WYNN is best. Huge pillows, plasma tvs, fat towels, down comforters with pillow top soft mattresses. I stay there all the time, and now that I lost 25k at black jack, theyll be seeing me again soon

rio for blackjack? no way
By bitharvest on 06/02/2006
don't get me wrong, i love the rio, and stay there at least 6 times a year... but their blackjack rules are awful. on the floor, the games are 6/5 payouts on single deck, no double down after splitting on double deck, and all the tables except those in high limit have the dealers hitting on soft 17. their blackjack, for the most part, is awful. dealers are great, but the house rules aren't! stay for great customer service, food and atmosphere, but anyone who seriously wants to play blackjack should look elsewhere to gamble.
