All that polyester taking up too much space in your closet? Then get thee down to Shimmer Cabaret at the Hilton, where your hair (and shoes) can never be too high. Formerly known as The Nightclub, the space and attitude have been updated but it's still one of the city's premier spots to shake your moneymaker, thanks mostly to the Hilton's smokin' sound system and stylish surroundings. There's plenty of space to bust out your best moves for the club's '80s nights, when DJs mix together everything from Gloria Gaynor to Gloria Estefan. And the beats aren't limited to the turntable: Longtime regulars Sheena Easton and Vegas' own Kristine W have spent many a night on stage, and the Hilton promises many more performers to come. The Cabaret also periodically hosts the 'Dance Fever'-like contest Dance Mania (pictured), where those who can cut a rug have a shot at a dance contract on the Hilton's stage. The new club promises more contests to come with popular host Adrian Zmed.
