Joke of a hotel
By NiceguyLV on 07/24/2008
The prior reviewer is correct, they do sweat the money bad. God help you if you actually win there. I have never seen a table games supervisor smile. I saw one player who had played for three hours betting 300 dollars a hand refused a comp after losing two thousand dollars. I guess a ten dollar meal is too much. I have seen dealers smile and laugh when they take your money. The slots are old and outdated. They are also extremely tight. Parking is not good during the construction/remodeling. The sports book is awful with bad odds and I never see any one win there. When you do have a complaint, there is no one around to hear it. When you finally get to someone, they don't care. I wrote three emails to managers of the property to air my complaints and none were returned and I doubt they were read. So why have a contact portion on your website when you don't bother to respond? I would AVOID at all costs. If you walk int he door, just throw the money away and walk out. You save yourself some time that way.

Cheap

All they care about is their money. The dealers, the bell staff, the workers are all miserable. If you start to win at the tables past 1,000$ it's the end of the world. The change dealers, change cards, and watch you like a hawk. Vegas is past all that money sweating and unfriendly atmosphere, apparently Silverton didn't get the memo. Comps are a joke, you nearly have to give your first born in order to get a free meal no matter how much you gamble.

Friendly blue collar place
By PEPSI4NANCY53 on 06/19/2008
We spent 2 nights for my son's birthday and really enjoyed this place. The casino has a nice variety of slots and the coctail waitresses do come around often. Unlike the high dollar places where you have to wait an hour or more for a drink while loosing all your cash. The Bass Pro Shop is also a nice add-on. RV camping is great for the retired folks too. Their buffet is good too.

managment must go
By ckazmierc on 10/07/2005
When I called to add a day to my reservation, I was told about a discount I could have for my entire stay. The person who checked me in refused to hear me out or give me the name of his higher up. He also refused to give me the key to the miny bar. When I finally tracked down the higher up, he did not return my call. The free shuttle did not stop where I was told it did. The bell staff, front desk and phone people were clueless. I was told just to take a cab. The wireless internet service sucked. I was told there was somthing wrong with my system. Yet when I went to the other providers in the area I had no problem -- even the truck stop was faster and I did not have to turn Norton off or get kicked off. The worst hotel stay ever.
