If Las Vegas cared about its history, the Flamingo Showroom would be the most storied live theatre in the city. But don't look for bullet holes left behind by Bugsy Siegel's soldiers, or artifacts from a bygone era when everyone from Rose Marie to the Supremes took the stage. The first showroom in Las Vegas may have been inside the Flamingo, but the one in use now bears only a cursory resemblance to its predecessor. The room seats 740, with 600 on the main floor and 140 in the balcony. Seating is traditional Vegas-style: long narrow tables and U-shaped booths. With three shows running concurrently, the Flamingo showroom is one of the busiest in town. -- David Hofstede
