The romantic reputation of Bellagio's remarkable Picasso restaurant received an additional boost from the 2001 film 'Ocean's Eleven.' Table 34, where the characters played by George Clooney and Julia Roberts rekindled their romance, has become a popular tourist request. The culinary artwork of famed chef Julian Serrano vies for attention with $50 million worth of original Picassos on the walls, a collection so impressive that diners routinely wander through the restaurant between courses to view them all. Picasso spent much of his life in Spain and the south of France, and Serrano's cuisine likewise draws inspiration from these regions. Surrender to such delicacies as warm lobster salad with mangoes, langoustine pulled live from a tank, medallions of fallow deer, and sauteed foie gras with Madeira sauce. Squab breast cut into tiny slices and moistened with jus spooned from a tiny copper pot, and truffle-crusted lamb with Parmesan potatoes are also favorites. Two prix fixe menus are offered nightly. I visited Picasso's three weeks ago and had a mixed experience. The room is beautiful even without the Picasso originals on the walls. The food was suberb and the service was professional if a bit stiff. I found the selection of wines by the glass quite limited which was a small disappointment. To put Picasso's in perspective, I would probably visit Fleur de Lis, Aureole, Alize, and Bouchon before returning to Picasso's

Only the artwork is priceless

Picasso at the Bellagio is touted to be one of the most romantic places to have dinner in Las Vegas...NOT!!! Picasso's policy is that the children of Bellegio guests are allowed in this restuarant. I don't mind paying $300 plus for dinner without alcohol, but not when a 3 year is squealing every time the fountains come on and running around the other guests tables. When this was brought up with the manager, he became belligerent and became mad at me for confronting him with it. Save your $$$ and go somewhere else where children are NOT allowed after 5pm.
