the best
it is not the fanciest, or most luxurious, but for the low roller, you cant beat it. you get cheap rates, and great comps. I eat for free every time. Great theme, excellent staff. I go every year. I wouldnt stay anywhere else.
Stay every time
We have gone to Vegas 4 times in the last 2 years & have stayed at Excalibur each time. The only complaints we have is that the carpets and walls seem to be getting dingier, and when making a reservation they will not guarantee a strip view. We had a view towards the airport once, (not much of a view). Aside from that, the staff is great, the price is definately right, the casino is huge, it is convenient to get to other casinos. A coffee maker is the room would also be nice to have. Other than that, we have a great time there & would definately recommend it, and have brought other couples with us. They are also really good about the comp dollars, and the buffet is to die for.
More fun here than most
Of all the places I have stayed in Las Vegas, the Excalibur has provided the most entertainment for the dollar. The restaurants are all great, and the Tournament of Kings show is the best. I stay at the Rio and Harrah's and the Mirage for what they can offer. They are all great places, but Excalibur always makes me feel at home. Location right on the corner of Tropicana and the Strip is really convenient.
I'll never go there again 9/05
We have been going to Vegas every year for the past 7 yrs. We purposely stay at a different hotel every time and this one was one of the worst. The outside appearance of the hotel is beautiful however, once inside they got you..because the furniture is old and worn down, No coffee in the room, you have to get completely dressed to go down stairs to get a quick cup of coffee. No refridgerator, so no doggie bags or cold drinks to have on hand. Plus, the soda machine was broken our entire week stay. I even have to track down a missing travel pillow that I feel the maid took from my room (accidental). We had a used glass outside our room door for 3 days and the air conditioning system was loud. They don't go out of their way for anyone. I will never stay there again. I would repeat any of the others before I would the Excalibur.
