With the addition of the Fiamma Trattoria, MGM Grand became not only the City of Entertainment, but the City of Cuisine as well. Stephen Hanson, the visionary behind Soho's famed Fiamma Osteria, spins his magic once again in Las Vegas, joining a grand row of properties from Emeril Lagasse, Tom Colicchio and Mark Miller. The 7,000-square-foot Italian delight is located just inside the CityWalk from the casino, and is decorated in rich copper and espresso tones, maple and antique brown granite and zebra woods. The food is just as warm and inviting, from the fried risotto balls to the big-eye tuna, and the service is just as exquisite. Comfortable and contemporary, Fiamma is divided into four distinct areas -- a cafe, bar and lounge, split-level dining room and private screening room. The Soho property was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for 2003's Best New Restaurant Award; Executive Chef Michael White, whose clean, subtle flavors earned him a Chef of the Year nod from Esquire Magazine, should give lessons in sophistication. Virtual Vegas: See the photo tour, and other top casinos.

Clip Joint
By april7159 on 05/25/2005
I've been to some of the best restaurants in New York, and L.A. This overrated and overcrowded restaurant was very ordinary. Tiny amounts of very average pasta in a huge bowl. Give me a break! $ 5.00 for lukewarm coffee. Please!

Disappointing Fiamma
By depat413 on 04/24/2005
Food was not bad. Very noisy. No tablecloths. Definitely not the place to go for "a dining experience". Like eating in a fast food restaurant. The Macdonalds of Italian food.

FIAMMA IS BELLISSIMO
By jrcruisexp on 11/23/2004
Whether you are a visitor to Las Vegas or a local, you MUST dine at Fiamma. Having owned two restaurants, one in Los Angeles and San Francisco, I am totally impressed with every finite detail rendered. From the warm welcome from the hostess to the wait-staff and ultimately the cuisine, Fiamma is a moderately priced, excellent presentation and quality Fusion/Italian Mediterranean find.
