A Great Little Place
If your looking for a warm, cozy and friendly place with very good food this is a very good choice. It is not cheap but it is not expensive $15 to $25 dollars a person. I have eaten here at least 10 times in five years and even held my Dad's 80th Birthday Party in their small meeting room. Its very good food with very good service. The staff treats you very well and goes out of their way to adapt to your wishes. I would give it four stars out of five.I felt the food was excellent. I am going back tonight with some old friends in from Phoenix. I just came to the web site to get their number. They take reservations for parties of six or more... we are only four tonight.

Bring Your Lawyer With You
I have been to Grape Street in the past when they were (I believe under different ownership or management) and had a favorable impression. This was not the case on my last and final visit. The waiter dressed in soiled and worn street jeans finally showed up after some mix-up of whose table we were at and who the food server was? We ordered a bottle of wine for the table, my wife ordered there house salad and the Penne pasta in a Vodka sauce, the salad was passable but the entree was absolutely horrible, it had no seasoning except for the Vodka in the sauce which the alcohol had not been cooked of and gave the dish a bite and a foul odor. The real problems that night started with my entree selection, which was listed as "Fresh baby clams served in a light sauce on a bed of Linguini" Simple right? Wrong! The entree's price was listed as 19.95, when the waiter brought the dish to the table the sauce was loaded with a gelatinous mess of clams with no shells, and you could tell that they were from a can and not fresh. I called the waiter over and ask him, "where's the fresh clams" and he started to lie stating that the kitchen staff comes in early to shell the fresh clams saying that not everybody likes the shells. I told him that was not true that these were canned clams and to get the Chef to the table. After about 5 minutes the chef showed up with a completely different story stating that fresh clams cost so much more than canned clams that the customer would need to request the fresh clams and that their would be an additional $5.00 charge added to the $19.95 I said that your menu clearly states "fresh clams" I then ask for my check, and said I'm not going to pay for the clam dish regardless, after waiting another good 10 minutes we stood up and headed for the door and were chatting with the bartender/wine steward she had asked what all that was about with the chef and due to the fact that we were still waiting for our check 10 minutes after the fact of clearly wanting to leave, I recounted our exchange with the waiter and the chef in a not so quite voice so that more than a few people could understand what we had just gone through and to hasten or check. The waiter showed up with the check flanked by the chef who at this point was red faced and hostile and we paid the check and proceeded to leave, but not without this culinary professional following us out into the street flanked now by the waiter and half of the kitchen staff and I said to myself, "these people are nuts!" As I turned my back to walk to our car this Jackass chef charged at us physically but not towards me the man, but my wife??? Grape Street Cafe... Don't even bother or bring a good Attorney!
.
food was over priced and the "outdoor dining" faces a large parking lot in a very busy shopping complex. Would you like a little wine with some exhaust fumes and booming music coming from a Hummer parked in front of Golds Gym? Not to mention all the disgusting smokers that walk by. I'm giving this place two stars for the service and the rest of it gets nata.
