Opulent and exclusive, The Mansion's dining room is not a venue most Vegas visitors will ever see. Joel Robuchon, lauded as "Chef of the Century" and known for his outstanding French preparations augmented with international influences, creates menus of such imagination that expert on all things luxurious, Robin Leach, once exclaimed that Robuchon crafted the best meal that he had ever eaten. The Mansion only seats 64 people a night, and treats diners to a 16-course tasting menu for a modest price of just under $300. Though the menu changes daily, sea urchin flan with fennel, foie gras and vegetables in cabbage ravioli and fresh strawberries in tequila sorbet topped with lime syrup are past examples of the genius of Robuchon's creations. If even the intimate eatery is too public for you, The Mansion has a private high-rollers' room for the ultimate lavish dining experience.

Joel Robuchon is simply stunning. One of the greatest in the world. Expensive, but well worth it.

Best Dinnner We Ever Had
By SARAandMARSHALL1 on 05/17/2008
Robuchon was the most exciting dinning we had ever had. Having lived about everywhere in the USA. I have eaten at many Resturants claiming to be fine dinning. Joel him self came out and asked how the food was. In french of course because he doesn't speak very strong english. The service was second to none. The service alone set this place apart from any other. The moment you set food in Robuchon you think you have been transformed to a King and Queen. We never had to ask for anything. The food is why you go. we had the 19 course taster menu. I have never tasted such delightful food in all my life. Joel Robuchon is curtainly the Master of all chefs. Nothing is second rate and ever course left you wanting more and more. We spent two hours there and made it a night we will never forget. I would have to say the only reason this resturant is not 100% on the voting list is because they have not enjoy the place yet. Nine Steak house is nice but after eating at Robuchon. I would compair the two as if you we going to go to Apple Bee's or fine dinning. If you ever are in Las Vegas it is a must place to go if you are seeking the night of your life!!! Skip the show its worth it! Thank You Joel!!

overrated
By mal7718 on 08/12/2007
My husband and I enjoy fine dining and do not mind spending a little bit more on what we expect to be exceptional food and service. Having read and heard about Joel Robuchon over the years, we made it a point to swing by the restaurant during our recent trip to Vegas. Sadly, we were disappointed in the whole dining experience. The meal itself was "ok", it was not spectacular compared to other restaurants run by newer chefs, and certainly not worth the over $1k tab that we spent on wine and food. The dishes were clean and flavorful BUT hardly groundbreaking nor memorable. Several courses contained gelee and foam of sorts and the fish, a turbot, was predictable and uninspired. . The bread and petit fours carts seemed a nice touch, but depending on who was serving, any excessive interest in sampling more than a couple of things was "sniffed at"[sacre bleu! ils sont pigs!]. Which brings me to my final point and what I consider the worst transgression: mediocre service. For a highly rated restaurant, the service was marginal at best, and certainly carried an air of undeservedly old school pretentiousness. Staff were not always attentive - it took 20 minutes and two requests just to get a wine list, and almost as long to place the order. Service from some staff members was clearly preferential - some guests (also first timers) received more attention than others for the same tasting menu. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning anytime soon.
