The conversation among erudite diners at Lilly Langtry's often turns to speculation over why an Asian restaurant would be named after a famed 19th-century British actress and legendary beauty. We can't answer that, but we think Ms. Langtry would feel right at home in the lovely dining room, with its elegantly draped booths, Venetian glass chandeliers, domed ceiling and white lilies in the entranceway.The menu is strictly Asian, with such featured items as sweet and sour chicken, moo goo gai pan, Hong Kong steak, moo shu pork, wok-sauteed shrimp, lobster Cantonese, kung pao chicken, beef chow fun and almond duck. The chef's specials include Lillie's Special Stir Fry, a mix of stir-fried shrimp and chicken, served Mandarin style with assorted Chinese vegetables; sea bass with ginger soy, wok seared and presented with a sizzling ginger soy sauce; and Singapore noodles with stir-fried shrimp and barbecued pork tenderloin strips, wok-tossed with thin rice noodles. -- David Hofstede
