In a subterranean cavern, accessible by an escalator at the back of the Luxor casino, lies the Pharaoh's Pheast -- or, as tourists often call it, Raiders of the Lost Buffet. Indeed, the place looks like it was designed by the same people who created the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland; faux sandstone walls, carved Egyptian columns and recreations of ancient maps and hieroglyphs adorn the large entry and seating areas. The buffet has two carving stations, two omelet stations, a 30-foot salad bar, a homemade pizza station and a fine selection of meat, fish and seafood entrees ranging from chicken parmesan to kung pao pork. Try to save room for the French pastry desserts. -- David Hofstede

Food OK

Most buffets food can't go that wrong like if you order it - waiters always mess it up. Buffets mean freedom to serve yourself the way you like. Why drinks, meat, and others are controlled by servers, cooks, preparers and waiters? For example, the rib - the servers never could give you the piece you want - you want the middle piece but he give you the end piece or too thick or thin or you want only the eye and he give you the whole piece and you have to waste the lip or you have to wait for the drink or the refill - and don't want to bother with tips and interactions either. Just want to eat and leave. Don't enjoy layers and layers of people and interactions to get to a mouthful.

Where ever you eat in Las Vegas you are swallowing your food with cigarette smokes from others' lungs, throats, mouths, teeth, gums, tongues, noses, ears, etc. With people everywhere, indoor or out, they should allow smoking only inside one's own house or car with all windows and doors closed.

Absolutely awesome facility. Beautiful decor, huge food bars, and an excellent dessert selection. Lunch here is an experience that everyone should have while on vacation to Las Vegas. The food is exceptional in both quantity and quality and the service is first rate. A trip to Pharaoh's Pheast is always one of the highlights of our Vegas trips.
