In the old days, all Vegas Chinese restaurants were more New York in style, probably because of the 'families' who built the original hotels. Now, most of the best places are branches from California, and Sam Woo has been doing the very best barbecued pork, duck and chicken in Los Angeles for years. Loud, fun, and open late, this is in the heart of Las Vegas's contemporary-styled Chinatown across the freeway from the Strip. Its dim sum is to die for, worth the drive and amazingly reasonable on an item-by-item basis. You'll build a delicious feast in no time as your eyes eat first -- and do not betray your palate.

Horrible food, and the service is bad. Plus it's dirty

I ate at Sam Woos about a month ago, after reading a review about it in the paper. I ordered two dishes, chicken with chinese mushrooms and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was chicken SKIN with no meat. If you are planning to eat in chinatown plaza, try emporers garden
What is it?
The outside of this place looks okay, but once you get in you'll realize that has cleanliness issues. The chopstick are sticky with grease and plates that the rice is serves in is old, broken and dirty looking. The worst part of this dining experience is that I found 2 hairs in the food. I found one in the sacue of one dish and then I found another one in the rice. That was it, I was grossed out. I paid for that aweful food (not tastey either) and left. Will never go there again. Not worth it.
gastronomical garbage
nothing like their commercial the food is awful, pricey, and the service sucks,stay away from this place ,you will get really sick ,they hate americans ,their food is so bad it stunk ,it was old and it had all kinds of horrible pieces of body parts it made me sick for 3 days,what a waste of money I'll never go there ever again ,my advice is to go somewhere else, don't say I didn't warn you.
