Recognizing that people eat first with their eyes, the minds behind Stack came up with a concept where everything from the food, to the decore, to the drinks (it takes imagination, but they manage it) are built in stacked presentation. The classy, comfortable atmosphere sets a fun mood that carries over into dishes of mini tuna poke tacos and miso bass cups, which are set in side-by-side-by-side-by-side presentation that adds art to appetite. Baked popovers and gooey desserts carry comfort food to new heights. Adjacent to the mahogany dining room is a bar and lounge that serves the full Stack menu, along with such specialty cocktails such as Cantaloupe Mojito, Peach Capirusca and Smore's Martini.

Avoid Stack to be Happy
By Kentkroll7 on 11/28/2008
Upon first impression, the decor and ambiance was nice. However, this certainly does not compensate for the sloppy and over-priced "Thanksgiving special menu," the impersonal and attitude-ridden waitress and mediocre food served. We were a party of three people. When asked to explain the menu choices, our waitress appeared frustrated and simply ran through the choices without really explaining what anything would entail. Additionally, many of her deions were way off base (ie, she said one of the selections would be a pasta, when in fact it was a potato roll). The appetizer did not appear before the first course. We had to ask and confirm if that was still part of the menu before it was delivered. We had to BEG for refills on a soda and iced tea - something any "fine dining establishment" would not let go without refilling. When we asked for our first refill of soda, the waitress (this was before she eventually disappeared altogether) said, "we don't offer refills; we charge for them." When she brought a new soda, she snapped up the one already on the table that was still 1/4 full and we insisted she bring it back since, after all, we were now paying for every refreshed drink. After inquiring why other tables were seated after us and completed their entire meals before us, we suddenly received a different waiter (who was much better than the waitress we had). Remember, we were a party of three, not a huge nor demanding party. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF, YOUR FRIENDS OR OUT-OF-TOWN GUESTS TO BE SUCKERED INTO SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
By jaibenn2413 on 04/23/2007
And that is putting it very generiously. You could get better service at Arby’s. We waited for our table for 1 hour when we had an 8pm reservation, without a word from anyone. When we arrived we were told it would be 15 minutes. I understand that sometimes it takes a bit, but you should notify the party that has been waiting for an hour! Then when a party of the same size comes in after we had been sitting for 45mins and have them wait for ten minutes and seat them. After an hour of wait I finally went to the host Oliver Witt and he was unapologetic, quiet rude, only saying that “our table” wouldn’t get leave , and that he would get to us soon enough. After finally getting seated, the waiter told up that we would only have a choice for three dinners; “being that we were a bachelorette party” WE WERE NOT A BACHELORETTE PARTY. We explained to him we were not, and he huffed about serving a party of 7 the full menu. We saw him about two more times the entire evening and some other random waiters who happen to be near our table. Also at the end we were given one piece of cake (friends birthday) and the check at the same time. Did we want dessert? Service was horrible and food was ok….

One Class Act!!!

Service was wonderful. Menu had something for everyone. Drinks, appetizer, and main course were all great. Our waiter was helpful with deciding what to order and very polite. I'm very surprised to read reviews from people that had a bad experience. Several weeks after I returned home from vacation, I received a Thank You note from the restaurant.
