Veteran restaurateur Piero Selvaggio, known for cultivating one of the finest wine cellars in the world, brings his famed Los Angeles restaurant 'Valentino' to The Venetian. Valentino at the Venetian showcases an innovative menu that is faithful to the Italian culinary tradition. The cuisine is contemporary Italian focusing on the quality of ingredients, revisiting traditional recipes, and adapting to the local market. Many of the ingredients in the kitchen are imports from Italy, including white truffles, fresh porcini mushrooms, burrata cheese from Puglia, and Mediterranean and Adriatic Sea fish. Breads are baked fresh daily. Valentino Las Vegas is proud to be the recipient of the Wine Spectator Grand Award 2008 for our exceptional wine list.

Exceeded expectations

I'm surprised to read the negative reviews and can only assume the experiences those reviewers had were much different than mine. We were a group of 12 people celebrating a double birthday and could not have been happier with the food or the service. We were seated in a private room, which I'm sure added to our experience. Several in our party ordered the filet and praised it. My husband had the tasting menu along with the wine pairings and raved over it. Even my 15 year old loved his duck breast appetizer and short ribs. I fell in love with the chocolate ravioli which included lovely fresh berries in a refreshing mint broth. I WOULD eat here again in a heartbeat!

Don't Even Bother!
By jtat603 on 07/04/2007
We stayed at the Venetian which has many fine restaurants. Unfortunately, we choose the wrong one. I read somewhere in Vegas this restaurant was highly recommended. Don't even bother.!!! It's highly overpriced, with inferior food. The minute we sat down, we were offered a bottle of wine. Since my wife doesn't drink, I ordered a glass, but it appears the staff wanted to push a 1/2 bottle of wine on me. The salad with house dressing was ok. I had the sea bass which was very average. My wife had the filet mignon at over $40, and it was the worst filet mignon we ever had. It was tough to eat. The filet was even hard to cut with the original steak knife they gave my wife. We've had better steaks ever at a Long Star steak restaurants. We should have chosen to dine at Emeril's Delmonico or many of ther other restaurants at the Venetian rather then this one.

just because the meal is expensive does not make it good food. i have eaten there a few times with friends from out of town and have never been impressed with any of it. oh wait they have a cookie sampler plate for desert that is ok. however the service is great. and at those prices it ought to be.
