My husband and I had dinner at ventanos husband had never been before.last time I had lunch their was in sept 05,We were not impressed by the food our service on the other hand was excellent. The bread is your introduction to a good meal don't be cheap with the bread, these were a bad imatation of the bread sticks at the olive garden, they were served to us in a brown paper bag we guessed to keep hot ,but now I think they just throw them in the old micro.bottom line if you enjoy bread these bread sticks will be a big dissapointment.other then that the meal reminded me of the olive garden but with out the good salad. In this town you can do much better.ventanos has the GREAT view of the strip, excellent staff, but do not expect much from kitchen.
downhill
We've gone to Ventanos several times over the the past years. We have always had an excellent experience. Until 2/14/07. We had made a reservation for 15 people. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated at 2 different tables. OK, it's a busy night, we let that go. Then they took our appetizer order and left. They didn't come back until about 30 to 40 minutes later to take our dinner order. They forgot about my friends salad and we had to ask about it twice and after an hour they finally recieved them. Then we waited another 30 minutes making it a total of an hour and a half for our dinners. When the dinner came out, the pasta was cold and stuck together. Me and my husband ordered Shrimp Fra Diavalo and it was not spicy at all. It looked like they just took marinara sauce and put it over linguine and shrimp. We were never asked how it was or if we wanted desserts. Upon leaving, we asked to speak to the manager. We were informed the manager was not there that night. Upon further questioning, we found out that Carmine, the original owner was being bought out and no loner there. I know if he was still in charge that what happened to us would have never happened. We will never go there again and we will make sure we let everyone know that the new owners don't care about their customers.

We had a very enjoyable evening for my daughters 20th birthday. The staff was excellent, the chef delightful and the food was awesome. I really liked that the sauce was not too heavy. The prices were reasonable - I will defintely return.
