The name kinda says it all here -- if you're not a seafood lover, steer clear of the Rio's Village Seafood Buffet. They do offer prime rib and steak for those who don't heed this advice, but given the high-end price you'd be wasting your money if you don't like cuisine that swims.The emphasis is on freshness here, and that means everything when it comes to seafood. The steamed clams, swordfish, calamari, salmon and king crab legs all taste as if they were just caught. Don't miss the Mongolian Seafood Barbecue, which features a separate selection of shrimp, scallops, fish or squid. Desserts include a variety of tortes, cheesecakes, pies, cakes and cookies.

Quantity is great but Quality?
If you are not a gourmet and quantity is more important than quality, this may be a place for you. There are so many dishes with all kinds of fish, shellfish, shrimp, and so on. However, none of them tasted good. For that price, if you want quality food, I would go to Bellagio buffet.

Sick and not in a good way
I love the RIO AND CASINO~ HOWEVER, in DEC 2006 I first exsperianced this buffet and I enjoyed it extreamly especialy the huge MARGARITA I had. But in MAY 2007 my husband and I and aunt went for a 4 day weekend and went there for dinner and after dinner went gambleing till 3 am and bed, my aunt and my husband and I woke up vomiting violently like no tomorrow, I my aunt and husband tell everyone we know NOT TO GO TO THE RIO SEAFOOD BUFFET IF YOU ARE GOING TO VEGAS, cause you might get sick like we did, The next day we flew home and it was not fun AT ALL ! What are the chances all of us get sick at THE SAME TIME ?

MY VERY 1ST TRIP TO THE VILLAGE SEAFOOD BUFFET WAS A FEW YEARS AGO, AND WHEN I SAW ALL OF THE CRAB LAYING ON TOP OF THE ICE...I WAS TRULY IN HEAVEN. NEEDLESS TO SAY,WHEN I COME TO VEGAS, THE VILLAGE SEAFOOD BUFFET IS "MY" # 1 PRIORTY
