The After Thought caters to an older, affluent crowd who enjoy live jazz acts. In fact, the comfortable yet elegant Hillcrest Club is one of Little Rock's premier jazz venues. The club offers a little bit of everything from the genre, depending on the night of the week. Monday is by far the best and the busiest night at the club, with an array of talent by the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation. Pop standards and lighter jazz are the rule Tuesdays through Saturdays. Although you'll occasionally find national group acts taking the stage at The After Thought, regional solo acts and duets are the norm. The bar features a wide selection of premium liquors and enough wine and beer selections to keep even the most selective connoisseur content.

An Angel Sings
If you appreciate great singing and key board music, settle in at the After Thought on most Tuesdays and Thursday. Paula Long and her husband Jeff are there most every week. Paula sings like and angel and Jeff is an excellant keyboardist. The two together make more a night of satisfying and lifely entertainment. Give them a try.
