Mirage's decadent design would make a pharaoh's palace look like a dormitory. This Egyptian-themed mega-club isn't going for verisimilitude -- the decor is a historical pastiche devoted to the celebration of the gilt-edged and over-sized. The dance-floor is Biblical in its dimensions, while 30 feet above, six mega-sized plasma screens supply trippy dance visuals. On either side of the dance floor are gold Corinthian columns, beside which winded clubbers lounge on couches. Life-sized gold Egyptian statues stand guard around the bar, while VIP room guests peer down from their quarters high above the 15,000-sq. ft. dance floor. With plenty of room to park your chariot outside, just make sure you follow the dress code, or you may have to endure an early exodus while scantily clad Cleopatras walk on by.

my friend and i have gone two times; were both educated and professional women who arent into idiots, and are not expecting to be treated like idiots. this place is filled with little kids. forget guidos,, its abysmal. go to european clubs and you'll see what a club is supposed to be. good grief, even ft. lauderdale has classsier, more upscale places.

Friday After Work
By spunkgo on 04/13/2006
I think the men go to happy hour is for the "free lunch buffet" - the music needs a pick me up - the happy hour crowd wants to hear better music to dance to not just to listen to. The mixing from one record to another and the beats need work. There's so much music now to listen to the same old boring records - The back wall bartenders are great! The outdoor summer band is good. They keep the crowd always moving unlike the inside of the club - If you want to feel like you're in the carribean then the outside band is for you - and you do get sunset and a great adult crowd. The crowd has a younger feel to it by 9pm - The parking is not so desirable, between Firestone, Syms and the houlihans it's a mess! Special parking in the front is $10.00 and at that it's not valet! Great place to make new friends! The bouncers are nice and repectful and definitely do their jobs.
