If you've just sat through a VH1 'I Love the 80s' marathon, and you're looking for something to do, a trip to this Wantagh throwback may be just the ticket. After all, Skid Row, Bret Michaels of Poison, RATT, and Michael Schenker of the Scorpions have played here. And cover bands like Big Shot (a Billy Joel tribute) and The Zoo (U2) are just a few of the regular acts. For those who still can't go in for a 50-inch plasma, there's all manner of televised sports. Drink specials help boost spirits when the home team is down, and the fireplace keeps things toasty and cozy. Specialty pub grub like spinach dip and chips and the famous Mulcahy's roast-beef melt keeps the crowds sated with sustenance more substantial than just Coors Light and Bud. True to its Celtic moniker, the bar also occasionally hosts Irish performers, especially around St. Patrick's Day.

Happy Hour on Fridays are amazing. Great food good time. Drinks are watered down though...That is not something that they should want to get a reputation with. Other then that it is a great place. Check it out!

I went to Mulcahy's for the first time on Saturday Feb 16, 2002. I had the best time. No little kids like the bars out in Suffolk and the people were so friendly. I don't understand why they have gotten such bad reviews. I really hate the club scene, I am more of a "bar" person. This place is perfect! Recommend it anyone that has mature taste.
