Even though you can find rare treats like hand rolled Arturo Fuente cigars from the Dominican Republic, the allure of the Cigar Bar is the atmosphere outside the humidor, which is intimate and friendly -- the perfect pre-club or post-club hangout. There's a stocked bar in addition to the walk-in humidor, but also little extras, like internet access, chess boards and a small glass case which sells fine smoking accoutrements. The Cigar Bar is a Sag Harbor favorite and unlike some nightclubs a few blocks away, it's a permanent fixture on the Hamptons scene. It also stays open year-round, providing locals and the Manhattan set alike with a place to talk about stocks, surfing and which cigars Winston Churchill liked to smoke while painting in his garden.
