Everyone's welcome at this Garden City tavern, which caters to a well-dressed professional crowd and is renowned for its friendly, easygoing atmosphere. B.K. Sweeney's decor is a mix of dark wood booths and bar stools holding up the regulars. There's also an eclectic jukebox, so you can pick your favorite tunes, while enjoying a steak sandwich and a beer at the end of a long day. Ladies drink free from 10PM-midnight on Thursdays, and on Wednesday, there's an unlimited sliced steak special, from 6:30-9:30PM. The booths are actually quite private, so when the bar gets a bit too lively, there's a place to chat and get to know your first date a little better. B.K. Sweeney's is one of the few bars that serves Sunday brunch, where you can get as many Bloody Marys and mimosas as you can handle -- cheers to that.
