Bravo Nader   

I know what you're thinking, and no, this restaurant has nothing to do with Ralph Nader, unless of course, he likes the idea of a home-cooked Italian supper, in a cozy space with waiters who fuss over you as though you're a long lost relative. The menu is down-home Italian and includes penne a la vodka with asparagus cooked in a pink tomato sauce with imported vodka, and a lemon sole amandine cooked in a lemon wine sauce and served with roasted almonds. Daily specials such as osso buco Milanese, or blackened big-eye Honolulu tuna over arugula with sesame dressing are just two of the reasons why reservations are strongly advised. The wine list is quite impressive with selections from across the globe including a Callanan's Road Mornington Peninsula Shiraz, from Victoria, Australia for under $35, and a Masi, Masianco from Veneto, Italy. Owner Nader Gebrin doesn't seem to mind the telephone calls from assuming lefties, but advises that patrons "come hungry."
