While Carnival may look like a pizzeria from the outside, it's actually a serious Italian restaurant which just happens to make great pizza. So if you're not up for a slice of lasagne pizza, you can relish the cooked zoo of clams, shrimp and mussels served over linguine alla marinara with salad. The mood at Carnival is fun but sophisticated, and modern furnishings set the mood with a little help from Frank Sinatra, whose voice is as smooth as the carbonara sauce that comes with tortellini, onions, and bacon. If you're worried about all those carbs, then spoil yourself with a little manzo (beef in Italian) by way of grilled filet mignon or New York steak pizzaiola with wild mushroom sauce, and perhaps a little alfredo sauce on the side.

Busy, noisy, pricey but the large portions & great taste make up for that.

Best Pizza Around
By whitecoats2 on 09/04/2007
we love pizza, but not just any pizza. we love the stuff that you get in italy, and good luck trying to find it around here. but wait, this stuff is pretty darn close! order a grandma's pie and you'll get pizza that is mostly suace, some real mozzarella and basil. now true,. the crust isn't anywhere what it should be, it's too thick, more "american sicilian" style. where we wanted real sicilian (read thin crispy) we got a more american interpretation. however, it was still the best around. the rest of the food there is worth mentioning as well. i have had a lovely putanesca dish there.

Stick with the pizza
By rdwtax on 07/02/2007
Actually it's just a pizza place with a dining room. Stick with the pizza. Unfortunately, once you step into the back dining room, the quality of the food, service, noise level will vary. One thing you can be sure of is that the menu prices never vary. They're always high.
