The place for live blues in western Suffolk. This Huntington fixture overlooking the heart and soul of Main Street promises the smoking of cigars and the playing of blues and jazz. The heavy, drawn-out blues chords waft through the bar after dark most nights, and it's easy to fall into the couches and think back to past loves -- though the bartenders are so efficient, you'll probably never look down into an empty glass (like so many blues songs suggest). The Willie Steel Band hosts an ''open blues jam'' Sunday evening; there's also karaoke on Thursday night, and Friday and Saturday night you can hear up-and-coming Long Island bands in a variety of genres. Don't forget that you can smoke -- perfect for that bluesy mood.
