Ciao Baby   

A Ciao Baby entree is big enough to serve three hungry goombas, so it's not surprising that this Italian-as-your-nana ristorante has expanded to a third location. Like its Commack and Massapequa siblings, the Carle Place incarnation features an ever-changing menu that goes beyond pasta and red sauce. If you dine as a couple, be prepared to heave home a huge doggie bag, but a large group can split a few appetizers -- including a sausage-and-peppers pastry and a rice ball bigger than a bambino's head -- and order just enough of the Luca Brasi-sized entrees so everyone can have a taste, family-style. (There's a sharing fee, but it's worth it.) Some of Ciao Baby's just-off-the-boat-from-the-Old-Country shtick might give some purists agita, but at least it's more Rat Pack than 'Growing Up Gotti.' And though the portions are huge, they treat each meal like a special Sunday dinner. Capiche?
