Rate and Write a Review The powers-that-be at the Library Cafe may have been inspired by British poet Philip Larkin, who advised us to ''get stewed,'' as books are a load of crap. And if getting stewed is your goal, you won't have too much trouble -- especially on Friday nights, when DJs make the shelves vibrate and drink specials keep the bar crowd swaying to the music till the early hours. If you've read that it's best to eat something before drinking, start the evening with a few coconut-crusted jumbo shrimp with spinach, sun-dried tomato, prosciutto and fresh basil in a plum-tomato sauce, over penne. If you really do want to do a little reading at Library Cafe (and why not?), best take one of the booth tables in the afternoon, before the scantily dressed bar crowd start to arrive in droves.
