The history of Paddy's Loft is as Irish as the blarney stone, with proprietor Noel Cannon starting his career in his native County Mayo at the Bungalow and Cellar bars. In addition to cooking up hot plates of chunky beef stew with celery sticks, carrots and potato in a rich, hearty brown sauce, Noel also does his fair share to help the community with enterprises like Project Children, which grants holidays for children from troubled areas in Northern Ireland. He is also responsible for many other local fund-raisers and charity events for victims of 9/11, juvenile diabetes, as well as being a sponsor for many clubs. Noel's wife Mary is native of Co. Kerry, and a fluent Irish language speaker, so if you want to hear the dialect of the old country, ask nicely between mouthfuls of batter-dipped traditional fish and chips with vinegar dressing and brown sauce.

the bad reviews i read here must be from other resturant owners,,the food here is excellant, the prime rib is the best ,very good service, and super clean, the owner Noel runs a tight ship so to speak, hardly any noise from bar,and there is a very attractive front entrance,so dont go in the back and you won't have to go thru the bar !if your not happy with something tell the owner this man will correct it immediatly,,what more do you want a nice clean pub with exce;llant fod and service,I guess thats why its always busy,Katy Dalys is ok but no atmosphere, foods ok though, not anything like it used to be,hop the old bartender is still not there he didnt like lotto and women

disgusting

Words cannot describe the experience we recently had at this filthy place. Upon entering, the owner was arguing with a couple who insisted he overcharged them for their daughters birthday party (something we found out the owner often does). My shepards pie had a human hair in it (!) whe I pointed it out to the owner he dismissivley asked if I wanted another! The fish was terribly overcooked, and the drunks at the bar could be heard in the dining area. As another reader pointed out, if you want a classy irish place, visit Katie Dalys in Massapequa.
