Fabulous Food, Music & People
Have been there many times and enjoyed everytime!
Excellent
I must see and eat. There is no place like Four anywhere on Long Island. You step in and feel like you're in South Beach or Las Vegas. Try the Flatbread Pizza and a flavorful steak.
Good eye candy as well!
God Awful
My husband and I were both looking forward to trying Four after reading about the beautiful decor and excellent menu. I have no idea what the people who have written reviews were talking about. Being a person who enjoys every type of restaurant, from Panama Hatties to a great burger at a local bar, I was absolutely shocked at how poor the atmosphere and service was at this establishment. The food was average at best, most certainly not a menu interesting enough to set it apart from any other place on the Island. There were not even any specials for the evening which leads me to the assumption that none of the fish or meat was fresh. The service was annoyingly slow, to the point where we didn't even bother ordering the things we wanted in anticipation of the wait to get it. And worst of all was the atmosphere. The write ups lead you to believe that you will experience an aesthetically unique environment in which you'll experience the four seasons. Instead, it felt like I was in a club, with house music blaring, and people swarming around me to get to the bar. And, as for four rooms, all I saw was one industrial size space that echos louder than a subway station. Come to think of it, maybe they did offer specials...we would not have been able to hear the waitress telling us the menu anyway. Beyond that, the parking lot was so congested that valet couldn't even manipulate the cars through the badly layed out driveway. And to top it off, I have to deal with my husband calling me an idiot for even suggesting such an insanely ridiculous restaurant. Atleast we weren't alone, we saw 3 couples get up and leave and heard every other diner discussing how terrible their experience was as they sat in the cold 20 minutes waiting for their car. If the owners are smart, they will reconfigure the space and seperate the bar from the dining room. The last thing any woman needs is 10 drunks guys staring at her chest while she eats!
Like NYC on LI
Thanks for finally bringing a hip place to LI. My friends and I have been there almost every weekend since opening. Love it!
