Port Jefferson is a progressive little town, more like its New England counterparts just a ferry ride away. Toast embodies that small town feeling: It's the sort of breakfast-and-lunch coffee shop where they remember your name. This hip little spot also features local artwork for patrons to critique over a freshly squeezed juice or a cappuccino. There's a range of lunch specials from soup to sandwiches, but what really separates toast from the loaf is that it's trendy, attracting a young, artsy crowd, especially at 2AM. That's right, Toast now stays open into the wee hours of the morning, serving desserts, wine, beer and other libations to help you appreciate the wall art.

Greatest Atmosphere!!! food, art, music....
Just go to Toast (the real one and unique in Port Jefferson) and feel the great atmosphere and energy in the whole place. The food is so creative, fresh, and delicious. The other thing we like about this place is that as you enjoy good food, there is always new and fresh art. They really support local artists by offering their walls as a gallery. After saying that, I guess I will see you there. Bye, Adios.

amazing atmosphere, food, staff
this is our favorite little restaurant. we try and go every sunday. I was worried fist going there because we have a 1-year-old baby but they are so accomodating and always make him laugh. the artwork is always changing and it's local artists which we love looking at. the menu is so inventive and delicious. i've tried to order something different each time we go because i know i will never be disappointed. my husband's favorite is the oreo pancakes and even when it's not one of the specials, they will make it for him. smoothies are to die for. and they take your cell number when you come in so you can walk around and enjoy port jeff while you wait instead of just sitting there. and no matter what the wait is, it's always worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Great French Toast and Omelette Specials
Was just in this Sunday and was overwhelmed by how good the french toast was. If only it was a little bigger. Still, the food was great. Keep up the good work.
