My HORRIBLE 26th BDAY (4/06)
I was completely insulted & disappointed by how the waitress handled our technical situation in regards to our payment at the end of the night. Poor communication between management, coordinator & the client regarding all rules & regulations when booking VIP. Extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE between the waitress & client/guests. After our bank declined our credit card, the waitress got personal with my guests. There was a minor issue w/ the limit on our card which we knew nothing about (until Monday) but the waitress felt it was necessary to yell after I suggested to speak directly with her manager. In addition, request my guests to NOT LEAVE until the bill was paid (even though my husband was patiently waiting in her presence until I got back from our hotel room with another form of payment). Completely disappointed & feel as though my $936 went down the drain for a HORRIBLE 26th birthday.
IF ANY PART OF HIGHLAND MGMT IS READING THIS... HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS: Update your communication level between ALL DEPARTMENTS (security, coordinator, manager & waitress'')! Create a physical contract that needs to be read & signed by the client in regards to all the rules instead of giving verbal dictation. Train waitress'' to handle technical situations in a more professional manner. Require 50% deposits for all parties over a certain amount!

Don't give them your money
I was part of a big group of men and women that put our names on the guestlist through the club's website with the intention of celebrating someone's birthday and also giving a final sendoff party for someone who is about to be deployed to Iraq.
We had at least thirty people in our group and we were ready to spend a lot of money on drinks. As suggested by the club's own website, our group arrived early and fell in line to get in. As soon as a bouncer named Byron saw our group line up, he immediately told us that he was not going to let in all the guys in our group, despite the fact that we submitted our names to the guestlist!
After making plans for the past few days and arranging for all of our friends to go to the club, we cannot get in because of a pretentious bouncer. To add further insult, when our friend who is going to serve our country in Iraq asked the bouncer what the big deal was, the response that he got was "I'm definitely not letting this guy in because of his attitude."
We all decided to leave the line and went to Lucky Strike instead.
I will never go back to this club and neither will any of my friends. But if you want to risk being disrespected by a pretentious bouncer, then the Highlands is the place for you.
