Rate and Write a Review Most evenings, a booming rhythm of electronic bass can be felt from La Peer to Robertson, the two streets that cradle The Factory in West Hollywood. There, a brigade of the breasts of beefcakes and bombshells invades the second floor dance club for weekly nights of dancing. A former railroad installation building, the space resembles a 1920s-era labor plant clad in a coat of green that is probably visible from outer space. Guests enter the first floor entry, located on La Peer, and ascend a stark staircase that leads into the main bar. There, lounging on cushy low seating, guests gaze at the generous assets of The Factory's guests as they line up for alcoholic energy drinks and vodka concoctions. Predominantly a gay urban club, The Factory also offers well-respected (and ever changing) promotional nights, which have included Girl Bar lesbian nights and special guest performances. Renowned deejays Paulo and Kimberly S. spin a soulful groove of pop, funk, electronica and techno in these rebellious flesh-fests of entertainment. On Saturdays, Factory offers boys town its best bet for electronic dancing. Well-toned abs are usually on display as the club's less modest patrons look for almost any excuse to dance shirtless. Yearly theme parties include lavish productions for almost any three-day weekend or holiday, as well as the seasonal Card Party, which rewards guests with a discount card chock-full of West Hollywood perks and special Factory admissions. -- Michael Martin Tip: Normally, guests can expect the line to grow as the night goes on. If you don't want to wait in long lines for Pride or special holiday events, go as soon as the doors open, get your hand stamped, and leave. Then you can come back when the crowd is jumping, and you won't have to wait in line.
