Everything on the California-American menu (same menu for lunch and dinner) is priced under $25, including the specials.Favorites on the menu include a Duck Burger with gouda cheese and cherry ketchup, Berkshire Pork Chop cider brined and served Alsatian style with house cured sauerkraut, Veal Porterhouse, BBQ Pork Ribs, Chopped Salad, Mediterranean Platter and our Thin Crust Pizza?s. The regular menu includes ?snacks? such as warm pretzels with house made sausage, veggie chips and sweetbread bits. The ?specials? featured on the chalkboards in the dining room include everything from oysters, raw fish appetizers, fish entrees, cheeses, desserts and more. We offer 600 selections on the reserve wine list, 15 wines by the glass from $8-$14, a selection of sake, house specialty cocktails and beers on tap. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and contemporary. You will feel comfortable in any L.A. attire. Free, strong Wi-Fi access also available throughout the restaurant.

Unusual & Fun

I liked this place when it was Doug Arango's, but I love, Love, Love it now--the whole vibe is different--the menu has something for everyone and the prices are incredible. The whole feel of the place is upbeat and everyone of any age can find something to love here...Go! Go! You won/t be sorry...

Burger Night Mondays

Every monday Doug Arangos has "burger night" and it's a burger lover's dream. I've gone several times with my buddies after work and the bar is so full, that we have to take a table sometimes. For $14, you can either get a trio of three small burgers, which are all different, or one large one of your choice. The french fries that come with the burger are awesome. Last week I had the trio and they were a veal burger, a maui beef and a duck. The duck is served with cherry relish and it was my fave. I will get that one in the larger size next time. They always have great meat, cheese, and sauce combos and its a great value. The buns are homemade and delicious as well.

Love the Pasta Dishes Here

Although this place is not a strictly Italian restaurant, every pasta dish I've had here blows me away. I was a regular at the mediocre Madeo and now regret not finding out about Doug Arango's sooner. Every pasta dish is well thought out and superbly light. My favorite the last few months was the braided gemelli pasta with sauteed rapini and the chefs homemade crumbled sausage with garlic and oil. However I just had a Lasagne with artichoke tapenade instead of meat and it was insanely deliscious and so light I could have eaten a second order. I refrained from doing so only because I wanted to have the chefs wonderful cheesecake, which to me is a cross between creamy NY style and a ricotta italian style. The very garlicky caesar salad is a must have, especially when having pasta. I can nott rave about this place enough. I'm going again this friday and I will post about my experience again next week

Ribs Were Superb

Just had the ribs there last weekend and they were incredible. The sauce was amazing and a little spicy, just so you know. The ribs are a huge "Flintstonian" sized portion and the fries served with, are among the best I've ever had. This is definitely a must have item on the menu. The desserts were great as well. Overall, a 4.5 out of 5 stars in my book. It never dissapoints and the staff is pleasant and welcoming.
