Burgers and wine are a rare combo, but 25 Degrees has almost 50 half-bottles to go with their chopped grilled sirloin burgers, not to mention 11 varieties of cheese, which may leave you scratching your head over the difference between a semi-soft Midnight Moon and a semi-firm Big Woods Blue. Created by Tim and Liza Goodell, 25 Degrees is unlike any burger place you've set foot in: fuchsia wallpaper, chrome mirrored walls and oxblood leather booths make it about as sexy as a burger joint can get. You can enter 25 Degrees off Hollywood Boulevard or through the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (where it's located) and grab a seat at the bar if no booths are available (a distinct possibility since it's about as large as a two-lane bowling alley). Whether its turkey or beef, burgers can get a bit leaky thanks to cheese not intended for heat, but the meat is good and the fries and onion rings are tremendous, offered alongside dipping sauces such as garlic aioli, lemon dill and garlic parmesan. In a sugary twist, 25 Degrees churns out milkshakes and egg creams as sweet, milky chasers.

Good eats, not cheap!
By Motul4u on 07/25/2008
The food is good, the place is a pleasure to sit in, the star watching can be GOOD, service is good, location is great. But do not be fooled with the city guide LOW price label! 2 burgers, fries, and sodas will set you back almost 35.00 bucks and don't forget parking! I'lll be back... as it also has good business breakfast!

Who'd have thought? Yes, a $12 burger in a hypertrendy hotel restaurant served by actor wannabes really can be that good. And so can the fries, the onion rings, and the milkshakes. Believe the hype on this one, folks.
