Bar Lubitsch   

I have made reservations for dinner, art exhibits, and other special events but never for a bar. When I arrived on Sat. at 9:15 at Bar Lubitsch, I thought I would not have to contend with lines. Instead, I was turned away because I had not made a reservation. I asked if there was a special event occurring. The answer was no. This is their new policy, yet they have no website that mentions that. My friend and I tried to point out to the bouncer that we weren't 21 yr. olds that would be there all night. We had made plans for a babysitter and were only going to be there for a few hours. Not only would he not let us in, but he made a derogatory comment about our age. As far as I know, 30-somethings are still allowed to have some fun occasionally. The reviews I had read before deciding to visit the club sounded like it was a place that didn't just want to entertain the 20-somethings. I was severely disappointed. Thank God, Tiny's on Hollywood and Citizen Kane on Cahuenga don't act so uppity. It was what saved our Saturday night.
