BOMB-bay Palace. Horrible.
For some reason, this restaurant keeps getting recommended and I wish it would just close down for good. My wife and I ate there on Valentines Day - and what a mistake - again. (we've eaten here before and the staff is still incredibly rude but we wanted to give it another chance - ugh, can't believe we did). In all of my world travels and all the places I've eaten at, eating here has set a new benchmark in HORRIBLE. Absolutely the rudest staff in LA I've ever encountered, the food was WAY overpriced, my wife and I were totally forgotten about and on top of that, our food was nothing more than average. No presentation, no care taken at ALL, the portions were small and the cuisine uninventive. Sadly, this "palace" is nothing but a glorified "shack" now and has slid so far downhill, it's not even worth going to it anymore. A terrible disappointment. We were treated SO horribly. Stay away - far far far away from Bombay. Awful.
fantastic
Delicious food , beautiful suroundings and warm service.
The sob story about the water is sad but funny - after all there are cheaper places to dine!!!!
Horrible Attitude and Service
I recently dined at Bombay Palace and experienced the most horrible attitude and service. I asked the waitress for a glass of sparkling water with my dinner. My guest and I were absolutely shocked when I was charged $6.50 for the sparkling water. We were even more shocked when the waitress's response was "This is America, we can charge whatever we want." I will never go back there again. Try Bombay Cafe on Pico instead.
Bad, very bad!!!
Well, I've dined here twice (in a 4 year period). The food is comparable to Gaylord (down the street at Wilshire and much more professional). Well, let's not get into food- the issue here is dining experience...don't get me wrong, we're all into the food of course. This establishment have many chances. The staff is so unpro, you couldn't train them...it's just their nature. I closely observe their behaviour towards others & it seems there's envy among them! Very unprofessional!
