Guests will feel right at home at the Cadillac, an international, multi-lingual, youth-oriented hotel built in 1905 (once Charlie Chaplin's summer home). The building could not be any closer to the beach or the boardwalk, as it is right outside the front door. The lobby provides brochures for the hotel as well as a brochure with detailed recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, clubs, and points of interest in LA. The brochure also provides specific information on banks, money exchange, post offices, medical services, travel agencies, car rentals, airlines, concierge services and photo services. The guestrooms and suites include ocean views, private bathrooms, color televisions, telephones and electronic safes. The hotel provides sightseeing tours, a lounge, assistance on car rentals, a sundeck, billiards table, internet access and a basement. The basement features a sauna, gym, laundry machines, vending machines and postage stamps. They do not allow visitors in the guestrooms. Parking is complimentary. -- Cathy Tamkin
