A small motel that provides the basics: televisions, phones, and beds. There's no pool, but there is maid service and continental breakfast. It's conveniently located in tourist- friendly Hollywood, just minutes from LA's most popular attractions, such as Mann's Chinese Theater, the Sunset Strip, Beverly Hills and Universal Studios. A rental car is necessary, but the sights are not far away. Airport shuttle and Universal Studios tickets are available. -- Cathy Tamkin
