Conveniently located just blocks from Hollywood attractions such as Mann's Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame and the Wax Museum, this small hotel works for those who want to help themselves. With a car, guests are just a few minutes (depending on traffic) from Beverly Hills, the Sunset Strip, and Universal Studios. Rooms have one or two beds, cable television and bathrooms. None of the rooms have telephones, but there's a payphone in the lobby. Some rooms have large kitchens and the hotel provides washing machines. For guests who do not have a kitchen in their rooms, they are welcome to use the community kitchen in the small lobby. There's free parking, but no pool. -- Cathy Tamkin
