In the heart of Hollywood lies this chic yet affordable spot, where a T-shirt and jeans are just as welcome as hip couture. The bar area's white facade with black leather seating can give off a slightly icy initial vibe, but the split level dinig room just beyond is a cozy room of leather banquettes, black square tables and soft lighting against gold-embossed wallpaper -- putting it somewhere between modern lounge and classy bistro. Menu options are inventive yet simple, from grilled ham and swiss to grilled pork chop with sweet potato mash, and relatively affordable (sandwiches and entrees average at $10-15). The best part: You can have it all late-night (they serve only a slightly altered menu). Magnolia's beet salad, ahi tartare and steak and eggs Benedict are sleeker alternatives to after-hours greasy spoons.
