The Scoop: Located just across Melrose from Fred Segal's, Moe's is known for its selection of exquisitely fresh flowers and simple, striking floral arrangements in classic containers of clear glass, muted black metal and moss-covered terracotta. The cavernous, open florist's shop transforms with the seasons and sells flowers imported from around the world; you might find multi-hued hydrangea, honeysuckle, sunflowers and cymbidium orchid stems. Moe's also specializes in high-quality long-stemmed roses imported from a small grower in Ecuador.The Scene: With a facade that's completely covered with ivy, large vases of cut flowers spilling out onto the sidewalk, and a constantly changing sign on the roof, this place is hard to miss. Moe's opens to the street, so patrons can walk right into the vaulted space and its redbrick floor, trickling fountains and glass cases full of fresh flowers.
