A small, no-frills place with a no-frills name that sits just off Pasadena's fashionable Lake Avenue. Of the 22 types of pies, Pie 'N Burger's pecan pie is to-die-for, and some other favorites include boysenberry, cherry and pumpkin-apple. Sit yourself down at the fountain-type counter and order one of the tasty, fresh burgers with a piping hot side of fries and a slice of pie. While you dine, chat with the waitstaff behind the counter, or strike up a conversation with a nearby patron -- this is the classic lunch counter from days gone by, where most everyone is friendly and the burgers are always worth discussing. At breakfast, try the homemade cinnamon and pecan rolls or an omelet.

If you like abuse, this is the place for YOU
NO parking, poor service, cold food... if there was a rating below one, that is what I WOULD rate this place. Also lets not forget the way overpriced food. I would never go back to this place and I live here in Pasadena. It amazes me this made it to the best of list. The only list it belongs on is the Best of poor food and service and overpriced items
The Two Things One Needs In Life
My mom went here as a foreign student in 69, and now I go here. She says nothing has changed, even the lemonade is as fresh as it was 3 decades ago!! The best burger in town, and I highly suggest you get the pie's a-la-mode... they will warm up the pies and throw on a nice scoop of vanilla!! If you want to order whole pies, call one night before, since they only have pies that are in season and only cook up a limited number of pies a day!
