A short drive to the scenic beach areas of Malibu, a freeway drive away from downtown, and a headache away from the chaos of the city, the Radisson offers an escape to some and a doorway to others. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with data ports, balconies, and coffee makers. Nearby are several malls, a performing arts center, and plenty of movie theaters. You'll be far enough from the city to enjoy clean air, wide spaces, and blue skies, but still close enough to make an 8:30 meeting at 4th and Grand in downtown LA. -- Michael Martin
