Have fond memories of those peaceful, bucolic, overly sentimental landscape paintings that used to be found in practically every motel room and family diner circa 1978? They've found a new home lining the stone walls at this ski lodge-themed bar. Below the paintings, dark brown booths and hidden corners set the mood for hipsters, lovebirds and college kids to get intimate in the dim lighting and radiating heat of the bar's fireplace. Much like its Silver Lake sister the 4100 Bar, one of The Chalet's greatest draws is a jukebox supplied with the likes of Bowie, New Order and the Stone Roses as well as whatever band is the current flavor of the month on Indie 103.1. Good for big groups, there's always enough room at this Eagle Rock hideaway to warm up with a few brewskies after a long day braving the slippery slopes of urban life.

A bar to chill with Friends
By fernramirez on 07/13/2007
You cant really pickup here, there is at times a limited selection. At the most you will see 2 to 5 chicks you might want to get at. More of a place to come and chill with a group of friends for a guys/girls night out. The bartenders are hot, ambience is smooth, very LOW lighting so you might not be able to check someone out so easily. They even have a corner booth where i regularly see people celebrating birthdays and hangouts at.
